The school opened in 1918 with Miss Hughes as the first teacher, closed in 1950 and reopened in 1957 with Mrs. Gutteridge as the teacher and closed permanently in 1969. There is a large stone monument with a sign in front. Return School was moved to Mankota where it is part of the museum.
