PETER MCLELLAN, JR.
A prominent barrister and solicitor of Arcola is Peter McLellan, Jr., who was born here on the 8th of December, 1887, a son of Peter and Margaret (Hislop) McLellan, both pioneers of the Arcola district, where the father homesteaded at an early day and he has engaged in farming here for many years, achieving substantial success. Peter McLellan, Jr., attended the public schools of Arcola and after graduating from high school enrolled in Wetmore Hall. He was admitted to the provincial bar in 1912. He enlisted in the Thirty-eighth Cana- dian Battery in January of the year 1915 and served with that battery overseas for thirty-one months. Mr. McLellan then returned to Sas- katchewan and resumed his practice in Arcola. He is a trustee of the Arcola high school and holds membership in the War Veterans Associa- tion. In 1919 Mr. McLellan was united in marriage to Miss Carol Wales, a native of the province of Ontario. The greater part of Mr. McLellan's time and attention is given to his profession. He is public-spirited, how- ever, and is ever cognizant of the duties and responsibilities as well as the privileges of good citizenship. Bibliography follows:
