
FRANK P. MARTIN.
Frank P. Martin, architect, is well known in the province of Saskat-
chewan and is one of the representative and popular citizens of Saska-
toon. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1882, and in the pursuit of
his education attended the public schools of his birthplace and subse-
quently was enrolled at the University of London Polytechnic and Maid-
stone School of Architecture, England. After graduation he engaged
under prominent London architects, Parsons & Sons, construction engi-
neers, as assistant and then as chief engineer on banks and other public
buildings. Returning to Canada, he practiced in Lindsay and Toronto
for some years on architectural and engineering work and for four-
teen years he has engaged as architect and consulting engineer in Sas-
katoon. He has designed and completed several million dollars worth of
buildings throughout the province, among them well known churches,
banks and other public and private buildings. There is no phase of tile
profession with which he is not familiar and he stands among the fore-
most architects in the province.
Mr. Martin is past president of the Saskatchewan Association of
Architects, a member of the Council Royal Architectural Institute of
Canada and chairman of the Research Council for Canada of the Royal
Institute, and he is a member of the board of examiners in architecture,
University of Saskatchewan.
In 1903 Mr. Martin was married to Miss Mamie Claire Ellen and to
them two sons have been born: Frank John and Rodney Ernest. Fra-
ternally Mr. Martin is identified with the Imperial Lodge of Free Masons.
His club membership is with the Saskatoon Motor Club.
