REV. A.C. LUFFMAN
THE PASTOR'S LAST SERMON

A man who gave his life to the service of the Christian Church, preached his last sermon with the words "God relies on men alone to carry on His Word."
Standing quietly at the lectern of Trinity United Church last Sunday. Rev. A. C. Luffman told his congregation the story of the Archangel Gabriel asking Jeasus whether he had completely finished his work on earth. Jesus' reply was that he left it in the hands of twelve men. But what if they fail, the Archangel objected. I have made no other arrangements" Jesus said simply.
With the familiar sincerity that reached out to every listener in the sunlit church, the beloved pastor, retired only two weeks ago from his charge at Baltimore United cvhurch, told of God working through men. The continuation of His work was in the hands of men.
Within two days Rev. Arthur Luffman had passed from the local scene.
"God has no other feet than our feet. God has no other hands than our hands. God has no other voice than our voice."
One man's voice will quietly echo and re-echo through the lives of those to whom he preached through the long years in gentle by impressive sincerity.
He made no other arrangements.
None should be needed.
