This Memorial marker was built and erected at the site of the school by some of the former students.

Cottage Grove school # 4133 was built in 1920 on the NE 29 - 54 - 21 W3 and was opened for classes on Jan. 6th, 1921 with Dave Stewart as teacher. Miss Stobbs took over in 1925 followed by Jesse McFarlane, Margaret Scott, Miss Neilson, Miss Gammey, Louise Jackson, Gordon Kells, Delbert Nixon, Louanna Brown, Alice Madden, Ralph Bullen, Ruth McCallum and lastly Miss Elbe Taylor. The school ws closed in 1952 and students were bussed to St. Walburg. - transcribed by submitter: John (Butch) and Alice Peterson
