
LUCIEN TOURIGNY.
Since 1914 the legal profession of Shaunavon has numbered among
her representative members Lucien Tourigny, who was born in the
province of Quebec, on the 17th of July, 1887, a son of Honore B. and
Lumina Tourigny. His father, who has passed away, was a prominent
civil engineer for many years. Mrs. Tourigny is making her home at
Three Rivers, Quebec.
In the acquirement of his education Lucien Tourigny attended the
public schools of his birthplace and was a student at St. Anne de la
Pocatiere. Subsequently he enrolled in Laval University in Quebec and
was graduated from that university with the LL. B. degree in 1912.
During the remainder of 1912 and the early part of 1913 he practiced
his chosen profession in Quebec and in April of 1913 came to Saskatche-
wan and located in Regina. There he was associated with the well known
firm of Balfour & Martin. In February, 1914, he came to Shaunavon
and his since practiced here. He has remained a close student of his pro-
fession and has a representative and ever-increasing clientele.
On the 2d of September, 1922, Lucien Tourigny was married to Miss
Frances L. Kidd, a native of Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Mrs. Tourigny
is a woman of charming personality and she is prominent in the club and
social circles of this city. Mr. Tourigny is a consistent communicant of
the Roman Catholic church. In 1914 he was admitted to the Saskatche-
wan Law Society. He is a member of the local Board of Trade and he
supports those interests which are calculated to uplift and benefit his
home town.
