DONALD JAMES MITCHELL.
Donald James Mitchell, barrister and solicitor of Weyburn, and prom- inent at the Saskatchewan bar, was born in Ontario, on the 15th of Feb- ruary, 1895, a son of Dr. R. M. and Margaret (McKinnon) Mitchell. Extended mention of the father is made on another page of this work. In the pursuit of his education Donald James Mitchell attended the public schools and St. Andrew's College, Toronto, Ontario, and in due time was graduated from high school. He then entered the University of Saskatchewan and in 1914 took up the study of law. He continued his law studies until 1918, when he enlisted in the Royal Air Service in the World war, serving from April, 1918, to the signing of the armistice in 1918. After receiving his honorable discharge he returned to Sas- katchewan and in December, 1919, was admitted to the provincial bar. He began the practice of his chosen profession in Weyburn and has since resided here, having built up an extensive and lucrative clientele. He handles much important litigation before the courts and well merits the position he occupies among the foremost barristers and solicitors of the province. On the 20th of June, 1918, Mr. Mitchell was married to Miss Margaret Marshall, a native of Kingston, Ontario. Mrs. Mitchell is prominent in the club and social circles of this community. Fraternally Mr. Mitchell is identified with the Masons and the Young Fellows Club, and he is an active member of the Presbyterian church. Although his profession makes great demands upon his time, he is never too busy to lend his cooperation to the furtherance of any movement for the benefit of the community. Bibliography follows:
