WALTER L. CLINK.
One of the younger members of the district and provincial bars is Wal- ter L. Clink, who since 1920 has been associated with the. firm of Livings- ton & Atkinson at Battleford. He was born at Hobema, Alberta, in March, 1894, a son of Daniel Livingstone and Kate (Shaw) Clink, natives of Ontario. Daniel L. Clink came west in 1870 and located in Manitoba, where he engaged in the dairy business until 1881, when he drove an ox-team to Edmonton and back to Battleford, Saskatchewan. lie served through the Rebellion with the Battleford Home Guards and in 1888 went to Alberta, where he became Indian agent. In 1896 he went to British Columbia and operated a sawmill until 1903, when he returned to Battle- ford and engaged in the general mercantile business. Later he turned his attention to farming, which occupation he followed to the time of his death in Octoher, 1918. Mrs. Clink survives him and is residing in Battleford. The public schools of Battleford afforded Walter L. Clink his educa- tion and after putting his textbooks aside he worked for one year in the Land Titles office. He then commenced the study of law with the firm of Livingston & Atkinson and was called to the bar in 1920. He has since practiced with this firm and has been very successful. Mr. Clink is a veteran of the Great war. He enlisted in March, 1916, and in May of that year went overseas with the Medical Corps. He was attached to the Air Forces in 1918 and was in that branch of the service when he received his honorable discharge in February, 1919. Mr. Clink is a Lib- eral in his political views and his religious faith is manifest in his mem- bership in the Methodist church. He is a member of the Canadian, Sas- katchewan and Battleford Bar Associations and fraternally is identified with the Masons. He is a member of the Great War Veterans Associa- tion, the Canadian Club and the local Curling and Tennis Clubs. Mr. Clink is unmarried. Bibliography follows:
