The above alphabetical listing cites Saskatchewan Cities, Towns, and Villages with the given one room Schoolhouses listed as those which are nearby. This should help to determine where the schoolhouses were located.

Search Saskatchewan Placenames offers a much more comprehensive listing of Saskatchewan communities

There would be two other methods to determine which school districts were near which communities. One would be to use the school district maps which identifites school districts by number and then use the check the sorted School District Number Listing. The other method would be to look up the community legal land description, then look up school districts by their sorted School District legal Land description.

In many instances if a school district number corresponds to two different names, the majority of times, the school house re-named. Sometimes the actual physical school house was moved and then re-named. At times a new building was constructed in the village site when the population increased and if the village had the same name as the rural one room schoolhouse, the community would opt to name the village schoolhouse with the name which corresponded to the village name, causing a re-naming of the rural one room school house. See the comments section for sources which verify specific individual cases.

Note some placenames such as Wawota (for Example)
have School houses west of the 2nd Meridian
AND School houses west of the 1st Meridian
Both locations are nearby as you can see from the mini-map...
