 Photo taken of Ilse (UnRuh) Toews (12 Feb 1920-1 Apr 2007) (far right) with her students in front of Vera School, 4 miles SE of Lucky Lake, where she first taught school 1939-40. In 1943, Ilse married Heinrich HENRY Toews who was also a teacher. They taught in Alberta for the remainder of their careers before retiring to Comox, British Columbia in 1980.
