School houses sorted by those in eastern Saskatchewan - those west of the First Meridian, then ordered by township (incrementing from lowered numbered townships in the south incrementing northward), then ordered by range (west of the meridian is 1 incrementing westerly).

School houses west of the second meridian was a long listing, so it was divided into thirds by townships, south, middle and north Saskatchewan

The School houses west of the third meridian was also a long listing, so it as well was divided into thirds by townships, south, middle and northern Saskatchewan

Sometimes if a school house number was re-used it was found in various Saskatchewan databases if the school house was named as part of the North West Territories (pre 1905)
When Saskatchewan and Alberta became provinces in 1905, numbers previously in use in Alberta were cancelled and re-applied to School Districts of Saskatchewan. When the two provinces were formed Alberta continued numerically incrementing from the last school District Number which was at that time Bow Valley S. D. 1409. The next one of Alberta therefore numbered was 1410.
These school houses in Alberta are west of the fourth and west of the fifth meridian

Some databases did not cite a known location for the schoolhouse, so these are listed as unknown.

Some school house databases listed the entire school house region which the school house served, rather than the specific location of the actual school house. In this case there may be two townships and/or two ranges listed. These regional legal land descriptions show up at the end of the meridian sorting under miscellaneous.
