Goodhue School District No 2293 is located at section 29, township 34, range 3 according to the local history book; Number One Northern or The Memoir of a Pioneer written by E.L. Anderson. The community of Goodhue located at section 9 township 35, range 3 west of the 2nd meridian.source Anderson relates that the community came together to organise the school district in 1908, and a frame schoolhouse was erected. The first teachers were Wilson Hannah, followed by John McGerrigie. Community residents also attended functions held at the neighbouring school, ORMSBY School District # 1371 located just a few miles to the north at township 36 range 3 west of the 2 Meridian near Ormside which itself was located at section 33, township 35 range 3 west of the second meridian source.
