Iona School District 306 by Christie Laing (excerpts) from Moosomin century one : town and country. Erected on the Southeast quarter of section 15, township 13 range 33 in 1894, the first school teacher was Mrs. J. Easton (nee Broatch) teaching in 1897. Iona school closed its doors in 1961.

Coverdale School District 493 began in 1899 under Annie Bartleman according to Art Joll reminisces. The petition was signted in March of 1899. The school was erected on the NOrtheast corder of the northwest quarter of section 13 township 13 range 32, opening that April. Coverdale remained open until 1961.
