
RODERICK A. ROSS, D. D. S.
Since 1913 Dr. Roderick A. Ross has engaged in the practice of den-
tistry in Swift Current and he is one of the leading members of his
profession in the city and district. He was born in Chatham, Ontario,
on the 31st of December, 1888, a son of Donald and Florence (Finlayson)
Ross, who are making their home in Chatham, where for many years the
father was engaged in business. He achieved financial independence and
is now living retired, a highly respected and esteemed citizen.
The public schools of Chatham afforded Roderick A. Ross his early
education and he was graduated from high school in due time and enrollec
in the University of Michigan, U. S. A., graduating therefrom in 190c
and from Toronto University in 1910. He practiced dentistry in his nativE
town for a few months and in 1913 came to Swift Current, where he ba
continued to reside. He brought to the profession innate ability an
thorough training and achieved success from the start. Today he is
enjoying an extensive and ever-increasing patronage and stands high
among the foremost members of the dental profession in the city and
district.
In 1915 Dr. Ross was married to Miss Margaret Donaldson, a native
of Prince Albert, where her parents were pioneers and they are pro~
inent citizens of that place. Mrs. Ross takes a prominent part in the
club and social activities of Swift Current. Dr. Ross is sincerely devoted
to his profession but is never too busy to lend his aid to the furtherance
of any movement for the benefit of the community at large. He is treas-
urer of the local Kiwanis Club and a member of the Board of Trade. His
religious faith is that of the Presbyterian church.
