HAROLD B. DICKEY.
Harold B. Dickey, junior member of the law firm of Potter & Dickey is one of the prominent barristers and solicitors of Melville. He was born in Campbellford, Ontario, in 1897, a son of John and Eva (Coon) Dickey likewise natives of that province. His parents came west and located in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan, in 1904, and the father engaged in the mercan- tile business there until he moved to Regina, since which time he has been connected with the street railway of that city. In the acquirement of his preliminary education Harold B. Dickey attended the public schools of Sintaluta and was graduated from the Regina Collegiate Institute in the year 1915. He was articled with H. E. Sampson and W. H. McEwen of that city and was admitted to the Saskatchevan bar in 1920. He practiced his chosen profession at Cupar, Saskatchewan, for a time and on the 1st of November, 1921, came to Melville, where he has since resided. He became associated with S. H. Potter, extended mention of whom is made on another page of this work, and the firm of Potter & Dickey has an extensive and representative clientele. On the 25th of December, 1920, Mr. Dickey was married to Miss G. Evendon of Estevan. She is a young woman of charming personality and maintains an active interest in the club and social circles of this Although the greater part of his time and attention is devoted to his professional interests, Mr. Dickey is essentially public-spirited and is never too busy to lend his cooperation to the furtherance of any movement for the benefit of the community at large. He is secretary of the local Board of Trade, chief mentor of the Tuxis Boys and president of the Probus Club. Mr. Dickey has brought to the profession thorough train- ing and innate ability, and further success is assured him. Bibliography follows:
