They married abt 1886. Had 5 children in Minnesota 4 living in
1900, Ida, Herbert, Arthur, and Amy. Olaf and Christine were
naturalized
December 18, 1915, last foreign residence Saskatchewan, Canada.
Herbert Brandstrom naturalized November 14, 1916, last foreign
residence Saskatchewan, Canada. On both of the naturalization
record it states that their arrival to the US was on the Canadian
Pacific Railway to North Portal in North Dakota. Talking to Herbert's
son, he remembers that his father had homesteaded in Canada and
remembers him mentioning these places, Regina, Swift Current,
Drinkwater, Moose Jaw. I'm thinking he homesteaded in the Regina
- Drinkwater area. Herbert went to Canada to do trapping for the
Canadian Government. We think, since he went to Canada to work
for the government, he gave up his US citizenship, and had to
be naturalized when he returned to the US. I find Olaf (Olof),
Christine (Kristine), and Herbert (Hurbert) in the 1900, 1905,
and 1920 census in Minnesota. I haven't been able to look in the
1910 census yet, but will. However, I think they were in Canada
