Beadle District Pioneers: 1910 to 1970
Includes Avon Hill, Gleneath, Lucky
Hill, Mylrea, and Sage Brush
School Districts. This particular book only covers the town of Beadle as
it existed during
that time period. The schools were actually small country schools in the
rural area around Beadle where many of the pioneers lived. I don't
believe
Beadle has any official status as a village or hamlet anymore because
there
are only a couple families left in the town itself. Most of the records
would probably be in Kindersley, which is the largest and closest town in
this area. (As an aside, Kindersley was named after Lord Kindersley, who
was the Governor-General of the Hudson Bay Company for a short time, and
Beadle was named after his wife, Lady Beadle.) These old school
districts
functioned as small communities themselves, and quite a bit of
information
