SINCLAIR ELLIOTT.
The legal profession of Saskatchewan numbers among its worthy members Sinclair Elliott, barrister and solicitor of Watrous, who was born in Nova Scotia, on the 13th of May, 1881, a son of Rufus W. and Susan (Ritchie) Elliott, both of whom are living. For some years the father has engaged in fruit ranching in Nova Scotia and he is a promi- nent and highly esteemed citizen of the community in which he resides. In the pursuit of his preliminary education Sinclair Elliott attended the public schools of Nova Scotia and subsequently enrolled in Arcadia University, from which institution he was graduated with the B. A. de- gree in 1902. His boyhood ambition was to become a barrister and solici- tor and upon the completion of his literary education, he took up the study of law at Dalbousie University, which institution conferred the LL. B. degree upon him in 1905. He immediately located at Middleton, Nova Scotia, for the practice of his profession and remained there until the fall of 1906, when be came west and settled at Humboldt, Saskatchewan. In January, 1911, he came to Watrous, where he is senior member of the law firm of Elliott, Collins & Elliott and he occupies a position of promi- nence among the foremost barristers of the district and province. In 1906 Mr. Elliott was united in marriage to Miss Maneva Morrison. Fraternally Mr. Elliott is identified with the Masons and he is readily conceded to be an exemplary member of the craft.
