CNR Historical (c1905) Map of Western Canada Index

"Early 1900s Map of Western Canada...etc." is in fact the newest of the 3 maps presented on the Canadian Maps website. It would have been produced between 1935 and 1940, but it could have been as late as 1950 and the map cannot be dated earlier than 1931.
The reason is that the map shows CN lines that were not built until 1930-31. While the green and red overprint of CN's lines and town names was probably done in the mid 1930s, the base map appears to be 1926-27 vintage, again based on the known dates of construction of the rail lines in shows.
